The site is the least developable in Metfield It has no good access, the sole point of access is at the foot of the hill near the speed limit. The site is crossed by high voltage electric cables and houses a transformer unit. There is no footway access. If any development is allowed only modest sized dwellings should be approved to compliment those already existing. The site is in the village conservation area. There would be traffic movement issues.

The site is the subject of no national or local designations. The site is easily accessible to existing facilities in the village including a pub, church and public transport in the form of local bus services. We consider the site to be suitable for housing development, particularly in view of its relationship to the built up edge of the village and the mature trees and hedgerows which line its boundaries. We have produced a Vision Document which is enclosed with this letter, which seeks to demonstrate the suitability of the site for housing development in setting a 'vision' for this, within the context of a thorough assessment of the village context of Metfield.
