The majority of the village of Finningham benefits from conservation area designation
which contains a high concentration of designated heritage assets including the
Grade I listed Church of St Bartholomew, and the Grade II* listed Church Farmhouse and Yew Tree House and Amberley. The site allocation being considered, although relatively small, has the potential to impact upon the setting of these designated heritage assets and upon the edge of the existing settlement with the surrounding landscape. The presence of these heritage assets and their settings should be considered carefully as part of the site allocation process.

The cumulative impact of the all the site allocation at Fressingham would have impact upon the setting of the conservation area and of some of the individual listed buildings within the town. The sites to the south of the settlement are the least sensitive, the sites to the north and west are likely to impact upon the setting of several highly graded designated heritage assets.
