There is no justifiable reason to move the settlement boundary south of Hubbard's lane in Hessett to include an area designated as a 'Special Landscape Area'. This land has previously been refused planning for development (DC/18/04678) as any development would detract from the rural character and local distinctiveness of the area. Hubbard's lane can not sustain further development (four previous refused planning applications for development off Hubbards Lane) which would jeopardise road safety. Furthermore, the countryside is a rare unaltered fragment of medieval pasture (SCCAS 2010/2121), so I fail to understand why has now been included within the boundary.

Is there any reason why Mullion Barn and Green Meadows (both listed buildings) at the southern tip of Hessett are not included in the settlement boundary when the properties on the opposite side of the road are included?
