The village of Haughley benefits from Conservation Area designation and contains a high concentration of listed buildings including the Grade I listed Church of St Mary the Virgin, as well as Haughley Castle Scheduled Monument. Whilst it is our understanding that the site now benefits from Outline planning permission, nonetheless the presence of these heritage assets, the conservation area and their settings should be reflected in the Policy in order to inform the design and layout of this site.
