Considered that the criteria (i-v) against which proposals for the site would be assessed are generally appropriate. In addition, however, it is deemed that reference should also be made to the need to secure specific vehicular access arrangements by way of a direct new road link from the existing roundabout adjacent to the north-west of the site. Allocations policy should incorporate additional wording to secure this as a required item of infrastructure relating to development of Site LA101 as this will avoid intensified use of The Street. Further public benefit would also accrue from extension of this road connection to Wherstead Park, and linking up with the existing public highway beyond this to serve other employment facilities at Park Farm and the Peninsula Business Centre.

The wording of paragraph II is ambiguous and needs editing to make it clear that the site is actually
within the AONB. This is a significant area of land and any substantial number of houses is subject to the same objections as LA016 above. SOS does not support this
proposal.
