Object to the omission to draw the village settlement boundary to include the site for residential development .The site at ‘Land North of The Street’, Whatfield, is suitable for housing and available at an early stage in
the Plan Period, as necessary. Revise the settlement boundary to include the site for residential development – plan showing boundary revision is enclosed.

The respondents Notcutts Limited, object to the Draft Plan, as it fails to make provision for additional housing within the settlement of Whatfield. The respondents own land to the south of Naughton Road, Whatfield and have submitted planning application proposals for a development of 15 dwellings, including 40% affordable housing. Consultation on the application reveals that there are no technical or environmental reasons why the site could not come forward for housing. The respondents note that lower order settlements that have less or no services, have either been given allocations or settlement boundary extensions as part of the Plan.
