This Council requests that in the final document, our Parish is named as ‘Nayland with Wissington’. The parish centre is certainly Nayland but only the A134 separates the two settlements of Nayland and Wissington. Indeed, one of the development sites on the Nayland map is on the Wissington side of the A134. It would aid clarity whilst making no change to the Place Map. The Wissington part of the Parish is correctly identified as ‘Countryside’ and not classed as a separate ‘Hamlet’ so this Council believes that an overall re-naming is appropriate.

i. Nayland with Wissington Parish Council requests that the map be re-christened ‘Nayland with Wissington’.
ii. The Harpers Hill ‘Local Nature Reserve’ is not shown on this map. It appears on the Babergh/DEFRA digital map only as a strip of woodland(BT133) alongside the eastern edge of the A134, adjacent to the old A134 road.
iii. There are developments occurring currently that are situated outside the specified settlement boundary – e.g. The Bungalow, Harpers Hill and the adjacent plot.
