BMSDC Joint Local Plan Preferred Options (interactive)

Received: 20/09/2019

Respondent: Great Waldingfield Parish Council

Representation:

With only 20 proposed dwellings which again could impact on GW road infrastructure with travel to Sudbury/ Colchester and Ipswich. What has to be considered is that most of the villages are mainly dormitory, where residents need to travel out to work, shopping and recreation. This in itself places a burden on the local infrastructure. Access to the railway being Sudbury, Colchester or Marks Tey for London and points south.

The SHELAA (2017) concluded the Site was “potentially suitable” to accommodate residential development. Despite this however, the site has not been proposed for allocation within the LPPO either in its entirety or in part.

The attached document explains how the Site should be allocated for residential development to ensure the Local Plan is effective, justified, consistent with national policy, and positively prepared.
