Our targets can be met by applying the above priorities to infilling by the subdivision of existing gardens.(In the BUAB this meets with the Local Plan. Outside of the BUAB, gardens are classified as “brownfield” which is now called Previously Developed Land, and development is encouraged in the NPPF

Sub division means “infilling by one dwelling or a pair of semi-detached dwellings within a continuous built up frontage “.

The use of agricultural land for residential development is incompatible with the rural character of our village.
