An application for outline permission of 34 houses in Elmsett (DC/19/01633) has necessitated the expansion of the local primary school. This site would also landlock the school. The school is unable to expand within its own site, and so land from the developer has been requested. It is recommended this land is allocated in line with the planning decision.

Object to the exclusion of SS0230 from the Local Plan. Site can assist with housing supply within the first 0-5 year period of the Plan. Planning application has been submitted for the site, and a respective level of technical survey work has been completed. Site is adjacent to Primary School. Application incorporates land reserved for future school expansion if required. Policy compliant affordable housing. Technical surveys have confirmed that a safe and practical access can be achieved. Technical work is underway on drainage strategy. Development has the potential to allow for highway safety improvements. Site has limited constraints.
