The text as currently drafted is not reflective of the requirements of paragraphs 16 and 26, & does not meet all the soundness tests in paragraph 35 of the NPPF, as it is not ‘justified’ as it omits reference to the role of infrastructure provision in delivering community safety and cohesion.
REQUESTED CHANGE
Reword the second sentence of paragraph 16.17 as follows;
“The provision of infrastructure is fundamental to maintaining the quality of life, community safety and cohesion, economic prosperity and the environmental assets of the Districts.”
